A trip that was supposed to be to Santa Cruz, ended up taking place in a little town called Los Gatos (due to a TON of traffic). Let me tell you....This town was SUPER cute. We found a good Gelato place, good Mexican food and even a cute indoor garden.
This place wasn't very "touristy" so there weren't many shops selling little gifts and gadgets. But there were many cute clothes stores and random stores(including a EXPENSIVE bike store & many banks). There is a Lolli & Pops candy store there that has yummy candy.
Los Gatos is about 30 minutes away from Santa Cruz (but would have taken us another hour with the traffic) and is kind of hidden. It is right off the freeway.
This was just a little day trip, but it was SUPER fun and i would 10/10 go again.
((There were also some really cute pink walls too))

Loon Lake, Desolation Wilderness California
July 27-28, 2018
My Dad, Boyfriend, and I all went on a backpacking trip last weekend to Loon Lake in Desolation Wilderness. We had a Zone 5 camping permit, but later realized that there are no trails in zone 5 and had a hard time bushwhacking our way there. We ended up camping near Loon lake (about a half mile climb down big rocks)
We backpacked about a total of 12 miles. Even though there was a trail, we decided to rough it and head off into the wilderness on our own. We had a map of Desolation Wilderness and a compass and that's how we found our way. We did pretty good but had a hard time getting through the mosquito infested brush. At almost dark we decided to turn around and find a good place to set up camp.
There were many bear warning signs at the beginning of the trail, so we made sure to bring bear maze and be prepared for them. We didn't have any encounters with any bears though. We put our food in a sack and counter balanced (just to be safe), but we had no bear related problems.
The next day we decided to go down to the lake and swim. To our delight there were many rocks large enough to cliff jump from. (the highest being about 20 feet).
I highly recommend just roughing it in Desolation Wilderness, and Loon Lake is for sure somewhere I will be going back to. Peace out Girlscouts (:

San Francisco// PIER 39
July/7/18
Last weekend my boyfriend and I went to San Francisco, and we ended up spending the whole day at Pier 39. There were SO many little shops and restaurants that were open, along with an AMAZING fudgery (that only sells fudge by the 1/2 pound)!
As we were walking to the Pier entrance there was a cute Sunflower garden!
Even though San Francisco is very well known and visited often, there are many random little shops and sights that are only noticeable if you spend the whole day exploring one place at a time!
San Francisco isn't really my personal favorite place to go, due to SO much traffic and a TON of people constantly, but it was a fun day trip!

Old Historic Truckee
June 27, 2018:
Old Truckee is right off of I-80 and is easy to miss so you have to keep an eye out for it. Once you drive into the town there are TONS of little shops and art museums. I would 10/10 recommend visiting and walking through this cute town.
There were many little hippie shops and murals on brick walls. There is a little bike shop where you can rent bikes, skis, or snowboards for the day.

Down the shopping strip there are many little restaurants including a cafe, a pizzeria, and an amazing ice cream parlor. We had some great pizza at the pizzeria and some bomb ice cream afterwards.
This town has a great positive vibe to it, and if you're looking for a fun, outdoorsy day trip this is a great place to go. There are many hikes all around the town going up in the mountains. Most of the shops are also very dog friendly. Almost every store we went into had a big fluffy dog laying on the ground sleeping !
Live Life & Have an amazing day (:

My Focus
My name is Linda. I'm only 17 years old and just graduated from High School, but I already have a bucket list. My goal is travel all over California over the next year and a half.
The Summer of 2019 I am going to be leaving for an LDS mission. Until then my time will go to exploring.
